Attorney Sidney Powell has launched a Political Action Committee (PAC) that will be devoted to protecting people’s constitutional rights, such as freedom of speech and the right to free and fair elections.
Over the weekend, she announced that she was launching the Restore the Republic Super PAC. It is an independent expenditure-only committee that can receive unlimited contributions from individuals, other PACs, labor unions and corporations, and it is permitted to take part in unlimited political spending on initiatives as long as it does not coordinate directly with candidates or their campaigns.
Super PACs can do many of the things that candidate campaigns do, including running ads, sending out mailers and making phone calls. Regular PACs, in contrast, can only accept up to $5,000 from individuals and cannot accept money from groups.
According to a January 22 filing with the Federal Elections Commission, Powell will be Restore the Republic’s custodian of records. Its treasurer will be former Trump campaign attorney Jesse Binnall. The PAC is based in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
Powell said that she was inspired to set up the committee because Americans are fed up with government corruption and elitist politicians who look down upon them.
The PAC says it will be a “voice for honesty, integrity, and a return to government by We the People.” It will support candidates who are eager to fight for Americans’ constitutional rights and oppose those who are willing to put aside the constitution for their own gains, regardless of party.
A website for Restore the Republic lists MyPillow founder Mike Lindell and Joe Flynn as co-founders of the PAC. Their About page states that 80 million Americans were “disenfranchised” by Biden’s inauguration and that “Democrats abandoned their base and the Republicans betrayed theirs.”
It went on to state: “The American people are starved for truth, restoration of the Rule of Law, and even-handed accountability.”
Powell is known for filing a slew of lawsuits contesting the results of the 2020 presidential election in light of massive voter fraud. The Trump legal team first introduced her in November, although they later claimed that she was not working on their behalf.
She worked relentlessly to expose the election fraud, explaining how the electronic voting machines used in many states were developed by dictators like Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez in order to be manipulated and sway elections in their favor. One of the main requirements of the software, she revealed, was the ability to hide its vote manipulation from audits.
She also exposed how foreign adversaries were able to access data from the voting machines. She filed federal lawsuits in Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin and Michigan, and while they were unable to correct the fraud that took place, they did shed light on how easily the system could be manipulated.
Powell, a former federal prosecutor, also defended retired army general and former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn successfully. Powell, Flynn and Lindell have all received permanent bans from Twitter for daring to speak the truth, while Trump’s account was permanently suspended by the biased social media platform in December.
Restore the Republic is also taking aim at Big Tech and its unchecked control over the flow of information in society, writing on their website: “The American people deserve a voice that exposes and rejects the self-interest of political parties, the control of tech giants, and the lies of the fake news.”
